Hi,
This is not strictly NT stuff but can't see any other logical forum. Does anyone know how to set up Win95 PC's on one IP network to connect to other Win95 PC's on another Network? Both networks are within the same company but on different geographical sites that are connected via a router.
I have put both PC's into the same workgroup. There are some PC's on both networks all in the same workgroup. At each site I can see on any PC the other PC's on that site that are in the same workgroup but I can't see any PC's that are in the same workgroup that are at the other location.
Do I need some form of LMHOSTS file?

Make sure that you have "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" installed in the W95 machines, and they are pointing to the router as their "Default Gateway" in the TCP/IP configuration. That should be enough.

BTW - can you ping one from the other?

Hope this helps... :) Bill
