i'm connecting to a vpn server created in winxp pro. My desktop (connecting over the internet) can connect and authenticate, however my laptop cannot. Even if it is on my desktop's lan, it freezes at 'Verifying username and password'. Both are xp pro sp2, firewall are off, and the connection settings are the same. Any ideas?

Some router limits just one PPTP connection even the first one log off. To test it, Re-set the router and rebbot the both computers and try the laptop first.
