connecting to VPN and getting eacfilt driver 1

I am using my treo as a modem for my laptop. I can connect to the internet just fine, when I try to connect to my work VPN(Nortel vo5_01.120), I get a 'eacfilt driver must be bound to active interface' How do I remedy this? Thanks, Dru.
