I'm sorry if I sound a complete idiot - but I'm finally ready to take on Exchange Server again after numerous failed attempts during the days of 28.8k dial up and ES 5.1.

I've just set it up at the weekend and internally it's great. But does it want to communicate with the rest of the world, does it ****!!!

I'm sending out mail through the SMTP connector to my ISP at POST.DEMON.CO.UK.

I have a POP3 account with another company and put in the POP3 connection details in as I would do for a single machine. I set it up for a Global Mailbox.

When I look an the individual email accounts they are set up for SMTP rather than POP3 and I can't see how to change them.

Could this be the problem, but if it is, why can't I send out?

Any advice will be met with the greatest appreciation.

Thanks,

Rob
