hello all, new to this forum. I have a problem hopefully someone can shed some light on. We have a client for whom we created an online shopping cart. Once the person places the order and checks out a confirmation email is sent. This worked fine until the client installed an exchange server. We built the cart in cold fusion. Can anyone guide me to the proper steps to have the email delivered to the client once the cart is filled out? Does it have to make a connection with the exchange server? and if so,how?

Sorry for the newbie questions...I appreciate all the help.

Maybe I can clarify it a bit. Once the order is made a confirmation email containing all the information is sent to sales@domain.com. The clients switched the MX records to use their MS Exchange server for all email. Does this effect the CFMAIL tag? Do you have to make a connection to the SMTP function on the Exchange Server? Sorry for such a newbie question but no experience with MS Exchange Server at all. Thanks!

Is this a programming question? Is there a spam filter. Who installed exchange...the one hosting the website...or a customer? Does the customer recieve e-mails if a purchase is made? Maybe the mailbox is not authorized?

Thanks for all the help....I think I figured it out.
