I am not sure where exactly to post this but here is the problem I am having.
I have not been able to get any help as to what could be causing the following so I am hoping someone here will know or could lead me to resolve this.
I have developed an application (VB.NET) using symbol bar code scanners I have two types Type 1 is a symbol 9060 running PocketPC2003 the other is a symbol 9090 running WindowsMobile 5.0, This app connects directly to our SQL server through a wireless connection. The 9060 running PocketPC works beautifully and I have not encountered any problems with it. The 9090 running wm5.0 is giving me fits.
It works intermittently, One week it will work just great and the next it cannot find my SQL server, the next week it worked fine and the next it didn't. Now it has not worked for 2 weeks. The only error I get is it cannot find the SQL server. I can ping the device and I can ping the sql server from the device, it is connected to the wireless network as well. I have just purchased 20,000 dollars worth of these devices and all of them (9090's) have acted the same. I would have gotten the pocketpc versions but they are not available anymore.
Can anyone lead me into what the problem could be? Anyone experience anything
like this?
