Connecting to Server denied but NOT sending queries

In the Enterprise Manager I've receiving this message:

Unable to establish connection to SERVIDOR
Waiting Time finished

Check your SQl Server registry properties

BUT

I can issue queries from Query Analizer

I've tried Removing the server and registering it again, but now I receive a Timeout expired message

What is happening? There has not been a config change in the my equipment and this was working normaly until two days ago.

May it be related to the transaction log full?

What login method are you using (is it the same via EM and QA?)
What Client Network Librarys are enabled? (Named Pipes?-specificly when using 'Integrated Security')

I've fixed it using a Tools\Options\Advanced Timeout 6 seconds instead of 4

Do you know what was the problem?

Have you had a fair amount of data added reciently?
When was the last time you rebuilt your indexes?

I've started in this job a month and half ago.

If that may be an issue, I'll program a "reindexing" for tonight.
