My wife's school is converting to Cisco voip phones. They have been told it would cost 10K for a card to connect the current pa to the cisco phones. I work on Mitel and can not believe this. What does it take? I think an analog line to a page interface should do it for much less!

I agree. An analog card FXS or FXO would suffice.
And it does not cost 10K. If they are willing to pay that much though I got a few for sale.

Even a full blown VG248 doesn't run 10k... and that would give 48 analog lines... That would run a couple of grand IF that...

If they buy it, I would have to give props to that sales person lol

I've got a 2620 e/w both FXO and FXS cards I'd let go for $9995. :)

Maybe it is a "special" card for paging, therefore the high price tag.
They'll probably throw in the installation for that price though which makes it a "deal"
Yeah if this is a cisco VAR quoting this, it has to be a misunderstanding somewhere. Check the quote and tell us what parts it includes and we'll help you out.
