We are developing a data warehouse and need to connect to an Oracle database. What drivers need to be installed for this to work? Also where do the drivers need to reside, on the SQL machine or the Oracle machine?

Thanks

I am still new at DTS, but, I believe you will need to have the Oracle Client drivers (SQL*Net) installed on the SQL Server machine. In terms of what drivers, make sure you have the correct version(s) that match your Oracle database(s). htwh,

Sql server comes with oracle drivers. However, i would reccomend using the oracle drivers. I have encountered some querky things that i could only attribute to the drivers from sqlserver when transfering data. They should reside on the machine doing the pulling. Ill assume sqlserver is where it will reside and your pulling from oracle.
