Connecting to MySQL

Hello people,

I have just gained access to mysql on my server, what I really need to know is how do I connect to it to perform simple commands for example, I have a php script that requests that I do the following:

mysql reminders < reminders.mysql

I am a newbie with mySql, so any help off you sql gurus would be appreciated.

Try to use MyODBC or ODBC. There is exists also a MySQL native API. John Fill
