Connecting to MySQL server on win32

I have just installed MySQL on a win32 running Apache and PHP4 but when i try to connect to the server, internet explorer tries to dial my TCP connection and when i stop it, the connection ends there, and when i connect, i get a page not avalable error page.

can anyone help me with some tips?

can u give me the connection string?

another one looks like u havent activated ur apache (IE opens up a dialer only if the page is not found in ur system, like if u r not connected to the net and type

http://mail.yahoo.com

it will open the dialer)... is ur apache running?
