Connecting to Merlin Messaging

I have an existing thread with issue regarding voicemail but wanted to see if I can connect to the MM system via software. I installed VirtualBox and loaded a WinXP image. The MM Administration software 2.5 was installed. I can ping 10.0.0.42 from the virtual xp pc but can't seem to connect to the MM system. Image below:

Is there anything else I need to adjust?

Shouldn't be anything else. Just make sure you are in the LAN port and not the RS232.
