Can anyone tell me if it is possible to be on a NW 5.1 network with a WIN98 client and connect to an ISP with that client and not be disconnected from the NW network? Mike

Sure, just make sure your DUN options are correct for the session. Only enable the protocols needed by your ISP.

Cheers,

Mark ;-)

Just to let you know, there is a known issue with windows 98 giving bad credentials to the novell 5.1 login. You will notice this if every once in a while you will lose your network connection on the dialup machine and get prompted to enter your novell login/pass.
Keep us updated ;)

Yes, that is what I did. I only have the TCP/IP protocol bound to the dial up adapter. This works fine. I will watch for the issue with Win98 and Novell. Now if I could find a way to make that connection to the ISP automated. I guess programmatically is what I mean. I only want that connection to be made when I am running a specific app. Mike

Which app is that?
