Hi all.

I am trying to connect to MS Great Plains 7.5 (odbc) using CR 8.5 pro. Each time I try to connect CR 8.5 crashes with memory errors.
"The instruction at "0x77f839db" referenced memory at "0x011a393a" The memory could not be "written"
then another "The instruction at "0x73dd1351" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read"

The same ODBC works fine with CR ver 9 and Access. I have deleted and recreated the ODBC several times, the "Test Connection" always works. There are only normal alpha characters in the odbc name as well as the DB names. The software has been updated, and I can not find this message on Crystal's KB. I work for a non-profit so maintaince is not available. Any help with this would be geatly appreciated!

I'm not really that sure - but are you using logic statements to create fields e.g. IIF(a=0,do this, do that) - usually when you get those kinds of errors it has to do with something you're trying to do using data or a function that the program just can't handle but it can maybe in a higher version of the software - I wonder if there are any pathces for the software that you could apply? Maybe you could check out the crystal or great plains websites.

Sorry I can't be any more help....

Best of luck,
Tom
