Howdy!

No luck so far in the Exchange 5.5 forum so perhaps somebody here can help. I can't seem to get my Powerbook G4 to connect to our Exchange 5.5 Server. I am running Outlook 8.2 as the client. When configuring it gets name recognition of both the Exchange Server and the mailbox I wish to connect to. Then when I try running Outlook it asks for the appropriate NT user details with permission to access the mailbox. After I have correctly entered this information it sits idle for about 30secs before telling me it is unable to access the mailbox or even open in folder view. I have services for Macintosh installed on the NT server and am able to access everything except mailboxes using Outlook. I am sure I have the configuration of Outlook correct. Any ideas?

Have you tried downloading the Outlook 2001 software from MS - it runs better and may cure your problem.

Greetings,
I have had the same issues. What you need to do is set up a hosts file in your preferences folder. In that hosts file you set the ip address of the server to that actual name of the server. Outlook needs to log in to the actual machine through a local account.
