connecting to ECS Definity using serial cable.

where do I hope the serial cable on the ECS Communications Server. I have it connected to the terminal on the back of the switch going to a serial on my laptop. I am trying to connect using ASA. I am familiar with ASA programming but not with connecting a computer to the system. someone please help thank you.

com1 (this must match where you plug into the computer with a serial cable to the pbx)
Baud Rate 9600, 8 Data bits, Parity None, Stop bits 1, Flow Control Hardware
