connecting to AS400

Hi,

I currently connect Crystal to the AS400 using ODBC, it is slow, and have been told there are other ways to connect.

Does anyone know of a more efficient way of connecting to the AS400??

Depends on your software version, please include this very basic and essential information when posting about any software in any forum.

In later versions select the More Data Sources in the Data Explorer and you'll see IBM DB2 listed as a data source, which should prove the fastest.

This assumed that you meant DB2.

There's also the option of using OLE DB in recent versions which might prove faster than ODBC.
