Connecting to, and using MySQL

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering whether anyone knows of some step-by-step tutorials, or some info for a beginner in VS C++ on how to connect to and use a MySQL database.
The database server I'm using is runing on another machine on my LAN, and the version is 4.0.13.
I have looked at an application on

http://www.sevenobjects.com,

but they don't have any docs available yet, and the only further info I could find is for C# and VB.
Some sample code would be a great help.

take a look in mysql.com. There are many tutorials for different types of connections.
