Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I have multiple computers hooked up to my Linksys WRT54G router, wired and wireless. Each PC is assigned a static router IP address 192.168.1.101, 192.168.1.102, 192.168.1.103, etc. My question is: if I am away from my office and I wish to access computer 192.168.1.102 what do I enter in Remoter Desktop Connection? I believe I enter my IP address first, but can’t figure out want comes next. (I will be using XP Pro on the client and host).

Thank you,

Bob

You need to set each PC behind the router to use a different port for remote desktop, then forward that port on your router to the correct computer.

Connect via your WAN IP and use the port number of the machine you want to connect to.
