I am working on trying to connect to our very old vm system via our network. We have systems at several sites but they are all newer than this one. I am trying to get this connected so I can make changes via my laptop instead of through the phone set. We have a NAM, sp:30MVL07 DR5, using Star Talk 2.0.4L. From what I understand this was a used system (we are a non-profit agency). He turned over to me a cd with documentation, but knows nothing about VM Application manager. I met someone on this site, you sent me the application, but I still need help connecting to the NAM. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We have a NAM, sp:30MVL07 DR5, using Star Talk "
NAM is the next verion of Voice Mail after Startalk so you know....hance NAM does not use Startalk but KSU uses NAM or Startalk.
Bit confused as to what for sure you want to hook up too.

See our FAQ's tab for hooking up to systems.

I don't think you have a "NAM". So far as I know 2.0.4L was the last version of STARTALK voice mail. I beleive this version was actually an upgrade to make STARTALK y2k compliant. If you're putting this on an 8X24 ksu with DR5 s/w you should be okay.

Thank you Brutalis - Is there a way to connect this configuration to a PC on my lan?

No. The NAM had capability for an ethernet connection, but not the old Startalk. You could connect a RAD to the 824 and program by computer using Norstar Manager software, but it will be either a modem or serial connection.

the sp:30MVL07 is the software cartridge for a modular DR5 software in english and spanish not a NAM. so then I am assuming that the startalk is the older startalk voicemail not the startalk flash voicemail.
