Hi

I need to connect to an old Nicelog that has been turned off for many years. I have connected a screen and keyboard and I can se the software is starting. There is a blue background and yello text.

How can I find the IP-adress to the nicelog ?

I have a 8.9 CLS that I hope I can connect the Nicelog 7.64 to and use nice Query to replay calls.

Regards Johan

Could you find the IP address through the application?

If not you could try the "force" option, connect a crossover cable between the logger and your laptop and run wireshark, even without having IPs withing the same subnet, some packet got to reveal the IP of the old machine

I got the IP-adress. I was not able to connect the logger to my 8.9 CLS. Does anyone have a copy of a old NiceCLS server ?

You should be able to add a DOS logger (7.64) to an 8.9 CLS. You should not need old CLS s/w. What actually happens when you try to add?

regarding your initial inquiry.

(and after several hours of tweaking)

the yellow letters over blue background are the nice services

you can press "q" to shutdown the logger and get into DOS prompt.

browse to the folder C:\pctcp

there is a PCTCP.INI file which you must edit/check the lines below (almost at the end of the file)

[pctcp ifcust 0]
ip-address=100.0.0.53
subnet-mask=255.255.255.0

regarding your other question i have the installers in my company musseum, if you need still them I would glad to help.

=== remember that NICE is not so nice ===
