I want to connect a server to a switch.
The server have 2 NICs and i want to connect the two NICs
to the same switch. The goal is to do load sharing of traffic in the two NICs.
What i need to configure in the server? The two NICs must have the same MAC and IP?

Under normal circumstances, Spanning tree is going to block one port, so you need some form of multi link trunking to avoid that.

Sadly there is not standard yet on how to do that, so you have to rad how your switch does that, and how the server software you bought does it, and hope they are compatable.

Sorry. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

No 2 nics can have same mac. Why not buy 2 nics that provide for load balancing. Intel sells them as well as other companies..
