hi,
I'am unable to connect repository which is in my client place(US).
Getting a message
Rep_12119 A repository does not exist at specified connection.
I had installed Informatica server before and afterwards
I deleted that.
Database repository name's are same on my machine as well as client's machine.
I'am having PowerMart ver.5. i have chose driver as Merant for oracle 8.0.
but in my client's place they have choosen driver as merant oracle 7.0.
I'am having Oracle 8.0 client in my machine, but if i choose merant oracle 7.0 it
gives some problem.

Does anyone have any idea what's solution.

I feel this error because of improper 'connecting string'
or your 'username' doesnt have administrative privilage.

Why o why go for the Merant stuff if you can use the native connection that comes with the ORACLE client? It is bound to be more manageble and perhaps better tuned for ORACLE in the first place............. T. Blom

Hi, while you are creating data source names by using Merant drivers make sure that connect string which they are using in your client location is same as the string you specified in your drivers name. And one more thing is you could not connect your repository if your repository database server is downed.
