connecting palos to W98

Hi all,
I need to connect my Handspring Treo 180 to W98 PC via hotsync serial cable.
I tried Mochaw32 ppp software, but it doesn't work.
Have you some suggestion?

Have you considered infrared? There are several infrared pods on the market, both serial and USB. If you're running Windows 98 why don't you just use USB? No ports available? Have you tried a hub? A USB add-on card?

I've personally used the Actisys IR220L+ IrDA infrared pod with great success hot syncing (standard serial pod).
