Our company recently merged with another company. We each have our own pre-existing domains & Exchange 2000 servers already in place. Trusts are in place and working properly. Is it possible to place a connector between the two exchange servers to share information such as the global address book and public folders? Ideally the goal is to be able to select the global address list from either domain via the address book. We considered setting up contacts at each site but want the information to be "real time". Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

it is not inherently possible. E2K's reliance on AD limits it to a single forest, and despite some minimal efforts on Microsoft's part, there is still no type of connector available. And don't let anyone talk you into investigating the Meta-Directory thing either. I know what you're thinking, and i agree, it's a disaster that it still can't be done...
Anyway, there are 3rd party tools out there that will allow you to have SMTP address synchronization across the forests, but that's really it.

Thanks for the info brontosaurus. Do you happen to know the name of some of those 3rd party tools? It's not any easy thing to search for. Thanks again.
