Has anyone connected two HiPath 3550's (s/w ver 4.0) using routers? The protocal I'm using is HXGM/HXGS: Trunk Cornet-N Plus. Heres the problem I'm having - at some point, the two switches cannot call each other (3 digit). The customer resets either one or both switches and it works for awhile. I'm not so sure its the HXGS cards because either switch can be reset and it fixes the problem. My only conclusion is to rebuild the database from scratch and upload it. I have dummied the switches to German and reloaded the database (which did not fix the problem). Thanks.

Do you use Cisco VPN(ASA/PIX) routers?

If you have a ASA/PIX, try to set these fixups;

no fixup protocol h323 h225 1720
no fixup protocol h323 ras 1718-1719

Also try to upgrade the VPN routers, to the latest version you can get.

Also check if they set the VPN reconnect timer to the max.
