We are working on implementing a new WebFarm to replace our current web systems.

What we have purchased is the Following.

Proliant DL380 Packaged Cluster (MSA500)

Proliant BL e-Class Blade Enclosure + 3 BL10e G2 Blades.

Proliant BL e-Class C-GBE Interconnect Switch

Is it possible to connect this all up so that the blades can use the storage available in the MSA500?

What additional hardware would be required to allow this, if it is at all possible.

Regards,

You can do this with iSCSI. You'll need a virtualization head (concentrator) that can talk iSCSI and FC or SCSI (whatever the MSA500 is). I've worked with StoneFly concentrators and find them extremely easy to use and very reliable.

There are other native iSCSI disk arrays out there if you don't want to mess with a virtualization engine.
