Hi all,

I'm connecting a DVR to a wireless router that is connected to a router(wifi turned off) that is connected to a surfboard modem that is connected to comcast broadband internet connection. I have a switch that is also attached to the modem but I'm bypassing that for now.

I'm using the network magic trial software but I cannot get it to recognize the DVR right now. Does anyone know or had success with connecting their DVR to a network and getting it to work, etc.

I have done several of these. It is just basic port forwarding

You need to find out what ports the software uses to view the video and forward it to the dvr from with-in the router.

You will also need to assign the dvr a static IP
