Hello,
i created a relationship between an oracle query subject and a DB2 query subject. The 2 Identifiers are character in DB" and character16 in Oracle. It is a 1:1 relationship. But i don't get any records and have no idea why. If i try the same in MS Access i get records.
Has anyone an idea, what i have to do?

Thank you for your help.

Daniel

Just a thought; is "character16" padding out records with trailing spaces to fill 16 characters? If so
"SMITH" will not match "SMITH ".

(Disclaimer: Never used DB2 or ORACLE, and know precious little about Access; this observation may be accompanied by the sound of egg-sucking seniors)

soi la, soi carré

DB2 Character type is a fixed length type, so the best resolve is making sure that both sides are trimmed (preferable leading and trailing spaces to be totally sure)

So ,drlex , no need for a disclaimer :)
