My friend asked me to assist in connecting three routers and asked if he needed a WIC I/F cards... I said no, that he can just configure the serial ports FE/01 and FE/00 for different subnets and daisy chain them. Is this correct? Thank guys... I'm new here.

Yes, but the fastethernet ports are not serial ports. The routers can connect via ethernet or fastethernet, with a crossover cable. They do not normally get connected with different subnets, either. For example...

RRR10.0.0.1/24----10.0.0.2/24RRR10.0.1.1/24----10.0.1.2/24RRR

The center router would need a static route from the 10.0.0.0/24 network to the 10.0.1.0/24 network, and vice-versa.

I haven't seen the routers, but I was under the impression that they had serial interfaces where you could connect a DTE/DCE cable. I mistakenly listed the FastEthernet ports, but I see you can use them with the crossover cables. Thanks Burt... 'preciate the help!

Yes, you can use the serial ports for this as well, with a DB-60 DCE/DTE cable, which is also a crossover.
