hey guys, we have couple different locations BCM arent able to talk to each other so we have to make external calls everytime can't reach a specific extensions, anyone know how i can connect two locations together so we can just make internal calls.

You need to find out what keycodes exist on either BCM system. You will probably need to use the internet to connect them up. My guess is that you will need IP trunks.

Are both BCM locations on an IP network that is connected?. Usually VPN's are set-up. If you BCM systems haven't got any IP trunks enabled, then you will need to look for anyone who can help out.
You can have up to 12 IP trunks for a BCM 50 system.

Start by posting what keycodes you have
What Release the BCM is under System Identification
If/How your sites are connected as Firebird states
What DN range each site is in

We have Key codes and DN's range from, 1's and the other branch starts from , 3's . Both BCM's connected to Internet I can access them we have a VPN tunnel between the branched as well.

The link posted is for Branch Office starts with 3' 6.0.2.05.237

This is the main branch starts with 1's 4.0.2.03

How to check if IP trucks are set up!

Nope, Still going on about this,

we have BCM 400 and BCM 50. BCM 50 doesn't seem to have IP sec. That's kinda confusing I am new to all of this

Maybe somebody can add to my tips as well...

Dest codes and Routes
Example:
BCM Site A - Dest code 3A (Any) to use route to use Route 003
BCM Site B - Dest code 2A (Any) to use route to use Route 002
Both routes to use BlocA

In need to program the BCM IP's in the H323 or SIP Trunks/Private programming if you have R6.
So BCM AA points to the IP of BCM B and opposite programming on the other BCM.

Target Lines
Private Received enter each DN of the users to each of their own target line.
Example:
Site A
Line 125 is Priv Rec# 221 and assigned to 221 as Ring Only
Line 126 is Priv Rec# 222 and assigned to 222 as Ring Only

Site B
Line 125 is Priv Rec# 321 and assigned to 321 as Ring Only
Line 126 is Priv Rec# 322 and assigned to 322 as Ring Only

Dialing Plan Public Networking
Public Network Dialing Plan = National

Dialing Plan Private Networking
Priv Rec # length = 3

Hi nik, thanks to much helpful advice from curlycord and Firebird Scrambler several years ago I was able to come up with this. I needed it to help me keep curlycord and Firebird's advice fresh in my memory. It mostly repeats what curlycord has already posted but I thought I'd go ahead and post it anyway.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two BCM50 6.0 systems

Site A start DN 200.
Site B start DN 300.

4 voip trunk keycodes in each system. No MCDN keycode.

Site A
--------

Routing table:

Name: Site B
Destination digits: 3
IP: 192.168.11.50 (Site B ip address)
GW type: BCM
MCDN protocol: none
Voip protocol: H323

H323 settings: Default

H323 media parameters: Default

Dial plan:

Route: 001
Use Pool: Bloc A (voip)
DN type: Public

Destination Code: 3
Normal route: 001
Absorb length: 0

Target lines:

Target line 125 in Site B system programed with public received digits 300.
Target line 125 prime set - extension 300.
Assign target line 125 as ring only at extension 300.

Site B
--------

Routing table:

Name: Site A
Destination digits: 2
IP: 192.168.10.50 (Site A ip address)
GW type: BCM
MCDN protocol: none
Voip protocol: H323

H323 settings: Default

H323 media parameters: Default

Dial plan:

Route: 001
Use Pool: Bloc A (voip)
DN type: Public

Destination Code: 2
Normal route: 001
Absorb length: 0

Target lines:

Target line 125 in Site A system programed with public received digits 200.
Target line 125 prime set - extension 200.
Assign target line 125 as ring only at extension 200.

Users at Site A dial 300 to reach extension 300, users at Site B dial 200
to reach extension 200.

I will give this a shot, Thank you so much

Target line 125 in Site A system programed with public received digits 200.
Target line 125 prime set - extension 200.
Assign target line 125 as ring only at extension 200.

what if I want to reach 300 from 200 at site B ?

"what if I want to reach 300 from 200 at site B ?"
That question does not make sense as "200 at site B" is false.
Per above... site A is 200 range, site B is 300 range.
