We have an older Sony CDL 1100 CD Jukebox tower. (until recently the server software was running on a System 8 8100) We have made the switch to OSX on our client machines. I am now unable to connect to the jukebox server system- I have since transferred the jukebox server software (Miles Apart) to a beige G3 tower running 9.2.2. Though I can use the chooser from classic to connect to the file browser I am unable to transfer any files- also I cannot connect directly to the file server from OSX- I've tried connecting through the finder- but I am not allowed to connect as a guest (the file server default) "This file server uses an incompatible version of the AFP protocol" When I try to connect as a user, as soon as I begin to type a password- I get "You have entered more characters than the maximum number allowed"

Any suggestions of how to work around this?
