Has anyone connected an Algo external ringer to a meridian phone? If so, how did you do it. I have an external alerter board install in side the phone, but it does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chuck,

If I understand you correctly, you want to install an analog ringer to a digital port? The answer is no, this will disable the digital port and may cause other serious problems in the PBX. What you can do is create an analog TN port on LD 10 with the same extension number and wire it to your analog external ringer. Another way , as unconventional as it seems, is to add a second digital TN port on LD 11 with the same number and install a spare digital 2000 series phone with the ringing volume turned up high. I used this method once on a customer who had too many digital sets but did not want to buy external ringers. I placed the sets above the ceiling tiles and used a different ringing sound (up to 4) for each cubicled area. Worked pretty good. Good luck.
