here's my problem. I just got a cable modem. I am wondering how to make that work with my pc to get to the internet. I've never set up a router other than when my teacher was there to help. I don't know if I need to set it up as a dhcp client, server, or both. if I set it up as only a client, how is it going to assign an ip address to my nic. but if I set it up as a server, is that going to confuse it?
