How do I do this from inside VB? The setlogoninfo method requires that I put in a server name but there is no server, it is just an access database file. I'm familiar with opening crystal reports with an access table as a data source but don't know how to supply a password. Thanks for the help!

When you creat the Crystal report on VB select the connection type as ADO and OLE DB press build and select Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB provider press then go to the ALL tab and click the Jet OLEDB:Database Password and press edit value, here you put the database password.
And thats it.
Hope this help
:)

Okay, sorry to bring this back but:

1. I'm creating an .rpt file and opening it
2. I don't see where I can build the connection to the database

I tried adding a crystal report to my vb project and couldn't figure it out that way either. Just let me know where to look :).

Hi Paladyr

What is ur Crystal Report Version?

In case 8.5
When you open Crystal with a Blank report it show you a Data Explorer Windows then u select
More Data Sources
+Active Data Object(ADO) -The first one
+...
When u click it u'll see a windows with ADO and OLE DB "Conecction Strings" option and the button [Build], then continue with lovalles's Answer.

Good Luck!
