Connecting a RAD to a 6X16

Do you just connect the modular plug on the back of the RAD to a station port on the KSU? Do you have to connect a CO line to the rad on the CO modular plug or is this just if you want to connect by a modem from a remote location. How do I connect the rad to a on site computer, can I connect it from a computer modem right to the co line input on the rad? Is it even worth connecting the rad at all? Where can I get the software I need to use the RAD. I only have 16 station ports I'm not even sure its worth connecting using one for this. Will this also program the 2 port startalk flash thats connected to the KSU?
