Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to connect a second PN over a WAN. So, basically I have the server at location A and the PN with it's IPSI at location B. I know I can set the gateway in the IPSI board, however, in the S8720 I cannot find a gateway for the control network. Has anybody done this before? Am I simply overlooking something?

Rgds,

David

Is your IPSI in PN2 part of the corporate IP address. If so, on the Avaya server, go to the shell and type CNC -ON

This is turn on the services to look for IPSI traffic on the customer network.

Thanks, but I allready got it... Turns out I only need to add static routes. The server's eth2 and eth3 do not have default gateway's that can be administered, only static routes can be added to get to another subnet.

FYI - remote G650 port networks can't use the system sync source. If you have T1's in the new G650, use "set sync port-network x" to assign the source. The IPSI's have an onboard Tone Clock to provide timing, but in a remote G650 this isn't as reliable as it is in a traditional fiber-connect system, it can cause serious voice quality problems.
