Connecting a Pix 506e to Linksys RV042

Does anyone know if you can connect a PIX 506e behind a Linksys RV042 and disable the linksys firewall. I would like to use the Pix for site to site vpn and client vpn connections. The Linksys will go away and a Cisco router will take its place.

Getting the Linksys to perform client VPN is not good, have not been able to get a software vpn to work.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

IPSec is an open standard, therefore anything that speaks IPSec *should* be able to talk to any other device that speaks IPSec.

I've done this before between PIX & Netgear VPN firewalls. The PIX is totally capable of it, it all depends on the code running on your Linksys.
