connecting a 5.0 norstar to an opt 81 using lan?

Is it possible to connect a norstar to an opt 81 not using t-1 but using out network. I trying to send outbound calls from the norstar through our opt. 81. My boss wants to save money on a t-1 and use the existing data network if possible. Thanks for any answers.

try this ...use a voip gateway to connect to ur lan.

norstar >lsds >voip gateway >IP transport > voipgateway >XUT >Meridian1

ideally u may want to use an ITG Trunk on the M1 if it is there
