Connectinf to network via internet

Hey Guys,
Here is what I would like to do, I currently have a home network with a bunch of computers (mostly running xp pro) and what I want to do is to be able to connect to this network via any computer on the internet. I know there is remote desktop but that is not really what I am looking for, I do not want to take controll of a computer but just be able to have access to all the shared items, printers, files, etc. Does anyone have any good quick and easy ways of doing this?

Don't forget to forward the proper protocols and ports from the router to your pc. It's GRE and 1723 I think (can't remember).
