just after installing updates, the laptop running win 7 home premium could not open any web page but noticed that
1.When i run the ipconfig /all it did acquired ip address and the information regarding the dns servers
2.it did indicate that it was connected to the access point and connected to the internet
Why is it that web pages cannot be opened and all other computers and laptops on the same network could open web pages
Any idea

Check that the network is set as a 'home' network and flush the machines DNS cache (ipconfig /flushdns) in a command window.

Your suggestion was done but did not solve the problem but as part of the issue, I did full scan of the malware bytes and cleaned 14 infections and that could not help so I finally did clean install since the laptop was being used by a 14years kid

since the laptop was being used by a 14years kid
There's your problem right there. Kids are notorious for being malware sponges.
