After I start a VPN section (using CISCO 5000)
from my Windows 98, I do
C:\WINDOWS> ping remote_workstation
Pinging XXX.com [192.168.0.71] with 32
bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Ping statistics for 192.168.0.71:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100%
loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms
What happened ?
There is no response if I do
telnet XXX.com
I also see a log message in VPN section:

In the local PC "advanced Login Properties" I set
ON Tunnel IP
OFF Tunnel MS Networking(NetBT)
OFF Tunel IPX
ON Exclude Local LAN from Tunnel
ON Exclude DHCP(bootp) from Tunel
( If I set both
Exclude Local LAN from Tunnel
and Exclude DHCP(bootp) OFF, ping
still has no response)
My PC is on a local network ( sharing an IP with
the other PC)
