After I start a VPN section (using CISCO 5000)
from my Windows 98, I do

C:\WINDOWS> ping remote_workstation

Pinging XXX.com [192.168.0.71] with 32
bytes of data:

Request timed out.

What happened ?
There is no response if I do

telnet XXX.com

I also see a log message in VPN section:

----
10/20/2001 09:24:53 <Warning V The configuration
for
user tclin1998 on 206.171.22.5 does not local LAN to
be excluded from tunnel.
----

In the local PC "advanced Login Properties" I set

ON Tunnel IP
OFF Tunnel MS Networking(NetBT)
OFF Tunel IPX
ON Exclude Local LAN from Tunnel
ON Exclude DHCP(bootp) from Tunel
( If I set both
Exclude Local LAN from Tunnel
and Exclude DHCP(bootp) OFF, ping
still has no response)

My PC is on a local network ( sharing an IP with
the other PC)

Thanks
