I have a PIX 501 and it has been working great. However, it is not capable to do wireless. I also have a SMC Wireless Router. Is it possible to bridge both devices? This way I can have the PIX¡¦s firewall, and SMC¡¦s wireless. Thank you

Local Network

You should be able to connect the wireless device to the inside network without any issues. Make sure you take all security meassures configuring the wireless device.

I think you need put your SMC on the LAN with your other devices.
I Assume DHCP is running on the PIX.
Set the SMC's LAN ip address outside of the DHCP range of the PIX, but on the same net.
Connect the SMC to the PIX on the LAN side of the SMC. You might need an xover cable. (You will not be using the WAN side of the SMC anymore)
Disable DHCP on the SMC.

As long as the SMC broadcasts the DHCP requests to the rest of your LAN (the PIX) it should be good to go.
