Can some one tell me whether it is possible to connect to a Btrieve database from VB 6.0.The application was developed in VB 3.0 earlier.

Connect VB 6.0 to Btrieve Database

santhoshvaqlayil,<br><br>The short answer is Yes.<br><br>The more complete answer is that you cannot do it w/o the Pervasive ODBC driver, which is NOT included in VB6. You must get it from Pervasive, or a someplace that has a license to distribute - resell - the package.<br><br>Pervasive Licenses appear (to me) to be WAY over priced. I do use pervasive BTrieve, but only because a product I support is a companion to another company's product and they use the BTrieve ver 6.15 as their database. Given a free choice in a conversion which did not have strong requirements for BTrieve, I would convert the data to a low cost (? free?) database structure (Microsoft MDB?).<br><br>MichaelRed<br>There is never time to do it right but there is always time to do it over<br>
