Hi everyone.

I have two HiPath 3800 connected via STMI2 with 8-port switch with common network cable.

HiPath 3800 have the same softwrae version. STMI2 have the same software version.

I've already configured trunk between HiPath 3800.

Everything is working but LED signaling between HiPath 3800.

I've selected SIP-Q protocol in STMI2 web configuration.

Only "Native SIP" and "SIP-Q" protocols are working. If I choose "H.323-Q" or "Native H.323" I get an error - "Not accessible".

I will be appreciated for any help.

What LED Signalling is not working ?
You mean for a voicemail or a missed call ?
DSS ?

I am not a 3K expert but from the 4K DSS lights do not light up for external connections which is what you have setup with an IP link.

IP trunk configured with CorNet-IP protocol should transfer these features, does't it? But I have no idea how to configure CorNet-IP Trunk on HiPath 3800.

At the moment I can transfer subcsriber name between staions (I have different dial plan: 1XX - on first station and 2XX - on the second).
I use SIP-Q protocol for STMI2 as I mentioned.

But when I change protocol to "H.323-Q" or "Native H.323" on STMI2 I cannot make calls between station and get an error - "Not accessible".

I was advised to deploy H5000 server to get it working.

As far as I know H323 is no longer used for 'inter-system' connections.
Only SIP/SIPQ now on 4K

Isn't CorNet-IP native protocol to bind HiPath ATSs with each other by trunk?
CorNet-IP protocol is used to pass HiPath шnherent features between station.

SIP is using to bind HiPath ATSs with other manufacturers.

Just asking to clarify this.

Yes CorNet does transfer features, names, etc. but not DSS status (light up when busy etc.)
The SIP has Cornet encapsulated in it between HiPath systems.
SIP can also connect to other vendors equipment with less features.

If you have a main system (Example OpenScape 4000 V8) then you can add remote shelves, with remote shelves or Access 500, or 'branches' all the equipment is still on one system so DSS will work. However if they are on a different system linked with ISDN or IP you do not get the DSS lights to light up.

As far as I know the problem with DSS lights is that there is no way really to constantly monitor the status of an extension over a link without constant polling of that extension via the link.
A BLF - Busy Lamp Field can be setup on an ACWIN IP Console but again it can only show status of locally connected phones.

I did a little searching and got what I need.

In Hipath 3K network DSS will work between stations if H5000 server is installed and configured.

The drawback is additional licenses for H5000 itself and monitored subscribers - one license for one subscriber.

OK Very Good - glad you found out the correct information.
It's all about licenses these days.

Thank you sbcsu.

Your posts are very useful.

I've read a lot of them while looking for needed information and solutions.
