connect two Avaya 1608-I IP Deskphone without PBX

My friend offers me two Avaya 1608-I IP Deskphone for free because the company he is working work is closing.
I am thinking if I can put static IP between these phones or connect them to my DSL router.
Is there a way please?

Those phones need a system (IPO or CM) to function.

These phones need to communicate with an ip office pbx
They need to retrieve the user information in order to function and be online with it at all times.
So no they won’t work .
