I have 3 Windows 98 PCs, one NT4 Workstation with 2 NICs, one Unix box, and a DSL router. The 3 98 PCs have IP's 192.168.1.1-3, NT has 192.168.1.4 on NIC1 and 10.0.0.2 on NIC2, and the Unix box has IP 10.0.0.1. I cannot change the IP addresses of any computers. I can get on the Internet with all Windows computers without problems. The Unix box is not on the Internet, and shouldn't be. But I do need to telnet to the Unix box from all the Windows PCs (currently, I can only do this from the NT machine). Is there something free or very cheap that can be done to make this possible (remember, I can't change the IP addresses of any computer). It seems like there must be a way, but I don't know how...

I know it would be a cinch if I could change the IP address of the Unix box, but that isn't an option here.

Enable IP forwarding on the NT box ...

If the Unix Box is on both subnets, (just add a second ethernet card) it acts as a router, if you add a -s to routed it acts as a silent router, ie it is not in the route table of your other routers The one thing you can't give for your heart's desire is your heart. - Lois McMaster Bujold
