I've installed SBS 2008 and I'm trying to get the Connect to the Internet wizard to work. It keeps telling me that it cannot find my router. My router IP is 192.168.0.254. I can ping the IP from the command prompt on the SBS server. I can setup the IP stuff manually and I can browse the web, but if I do that none of the wizards will work because for some reason the server thinks it can't reach the internet. Have I missed something minor?

What's probably happening is that it's finding your router but failing to configure your router using Universal Plug N Play (UPnP), so it's giving you that message.

As long as you are comfortable configuring the appropriate rules on the router/firewall to forward ports 443, 25 and 987, you can probably ignore that message, if it's the one I think it is. You can read more about the ports here:

The problem that I was finding was that it wouldn't allow me to continue with the "Set up your internet address" unless it finished the internet wizard. After a couple of tries, I finally got the internet wizard to finish successfully. No magic, just a few more "try again's".
