Connect to RAS server using VB6 from pos unit(Win 98)

is it possible to connect to my RAS server from a windows 98 POS unit using a VB6 program, if yes then how can I capture the incoming phone number, connection speed, time and date of the pos unit, and if possible some user inputs?
and then run a ftp append process of the files to be transferred.

Hardware setup on RAS - pstn , PRI (digital obviously) authentication type - NDS
