connect to Oracle DB from jdeveloper

Please Help:

My EAR app works great when I run oc4j in a dos window. But when I run oc4j inside jdeveloper I get this error:
"java.sql.SQLException: Could not execute sql command - Original message: oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CPreparedStatement.executeUpdate()"

I have experimented with adding to the libraries but to no avail.
